Jennifer Carstensen

I was born in Tioga, ND (oil country) and grew up in Bismarck. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with degrees in print journalism and English and studied in Cairo, Egypt, for a semester after graduation. I accepted my first reporter’s job at the Watertown Public Opinion (in Watertown, SD), intending for it to be a stepping stone to a bigger newspaper in a bigger city. But the Good Lord had other plans for me. I met my wonderful husband, Bryan, and we were married in 2006; and I began my amazing adventure as a farmer’s wife. We have three great kids: Clara, Elvera and Holden.

I was very lucky to be offered the CSR insurance position at Bryant State Bank in 2007 and to move with Bryon to Noem Insurance when he purchased the agency in 2010.
